Projects in the last year include the total revamping of the Reliance Centre in City Deep Johannesburg. HK Roofing Construction cc was appointed as the main contractor for this project. The scope of the project included the complete refurbishing of all aspects of the property and buildings. This included the replacement of asbestos roof sheeting with the modern Klip-lok 700 roofing system. Being the main contractor, refurbishing of all wooden flooring, building renovations, repaving the outside parking driveway areas and landscaping formed part of the total package.

Sappi Southern Africa (PTY) Ltd awarded the refurbishment of the Enstra Mills, situated in Springs to HK Roofing Construction cc. This project included special height access teams, with the necessary equipment. Once again, the safe removal of asbestos sheeting in conjunction with Focus Asbestos, formed part of the scope of work. Once the asbestos were removed HK Roofing Construction cc, started with the purline preparation and roof installation. The supporting purlines were removed, sandblasted and recoated with a specially designed chemical resistant coating. Once the purlines were refitted, the new Globalcoat, Zink-Aluminium polyvinylidene fluoride (PVdF), coated sheeting were hoisted and installed. The PVdF coated sheeting is manufactured by Brownbuilt and is formulated to offer unequalled color fastness, in applications where chemical resistance is required. It is also suitable for aggressive industrial environments where vivid and consistent colour is imperative over an extended period.
